The Palestine Solidarity Association of Sweden (PGS) has received the news about the death of Dr. Haidar Abdel Shafi. We as members of PGS who knew him both in the political struggle as well as a personal friend send our deepest condolences to Dr. Haidar’s family.
We knew him for many years and admired his courage, integrity and profound knowledge.
Den 19 september beslutade Israels regering att klassificera Gaza som fientligt territorium (enemy entity) och hotar med att svälta ut befolkningen där. Gaza befinner sig under total isolering och människorna lider redan svårt under den israeliska ockupationen.
