Sigourney Weaver Dons French-Inspired Look with White Chanel Sneakers in Venice
Get ready for a few days of high glam looks. Stars are arriving for this year’s Venice Film Festival. Amongst the early arrivals is Sigourney Weaver, who appeared in a French-inspired look from Chanel.
The “Avatar” star was spotted on Aug. 27 wearing a black double breasted blazer over a black shirt with a white collar, proving that true style is timeless. In addition she wore luxe high waisted, wide-legged white trousers, cinched with a black belt boasting the interlocking Chanel logo on the buckle. A pair of black shades gave the look an effortlessly cool and chic vibe, matched with her small quilted shoulder bag from the designer brand.
The relaxed feel kept up all the way to the footwear. Weaver laced into a pair of all white sneakers from Chanel. The leather styles are low profile and discreet, boasting minimal white stitching as well as a small tag that identifies them as Chanel. The choice of all white, in a way, extends the leg of the trousers. In addition to the low profile meaning that the shoes are often covered by the pants, the choice of white means that when they do poke out, they do not draw attention away from the rest of the ensemble.

Many brands have shoes that are similar tennis court-inspired silhouettes. Alexander McQueen gave the style an update with their celebrity favored style that featured a thicker sole. Other brands like Cole Haan, Nike, Coach, Superga and adidas all have their own versions. Some offer it in both low top — as the Chanel option — and high-top silhouettes.
Weaver often opts for chic, classic and timeless footwear. Other sneaker brands she reaches for include Converse and Reebok.
