Little Simz Stars in Vans’ Second Drop for Old Skool Music Collection
English-Nigerian rapper and Vans ambassador Little Simz takes the spotlight in the second drop for Vans’ Premium Old Skool Music Collection, which is available now at Vans.com.
Inspired by the Warped Tour era, the capsule showcases shoes with Checkerboard print, two tones and Y2K-inspired flame prints.
The Vans Premium Old Skool Collection features Style 36, also known as the Old Skool, which first launched in 1977 as Vans’ second ever skate shoe and the first to showcase the trademarked Sidestripe that helps to identify the brand. With three different capsules, the collection pays homage to the connection between the Old Skool style and underground music scenes.
Upgraded cushioning and fit in addition to archival design details are incorporated into the Vans Premium Old Skool Build. Contributing to the cushioning and comfort, the shoes feature 30% biobased Sola Foam ADC insoles. Glossy sidewalls, higher foxing tape and retro branding are part of the design of the Premium Build as well, with several features recalling Vans footwear of the ’90s. The Premium Old Skool collection is slated for monthly drops through April 10 at Vans retail locations and at Vans.com.

Elsewhere in the Vans universe, the brand unveiled a sneaker with a thin sole, the Vans Super Lowpro, which the brand says is inspired by running shoes and flats of the 1970s. The company has also renovated its store located at 214 Oxford Street in London, making it a unique destination with a skate ramp inside. In summer 2024, the brand announced its “Always Pushing” creative direction.
