OTW by Vans and HommeGirls, a menswear-inspired independent magazine and apparel brand, are continuing their collaborative relationship with a second capsule collection hitting the market on Thursday following their first drop in October.

This collection introduces two Authentic 44 Checkerboard colorways in addition to workwear-inspired apparel items for women. Staying true to OTW by Vans’ dedication to elevated construction and materials, the canvas upper of the OTW by Vans x Authentic 44 Checkerboard is high density and offered in tonal and military green colorways. An oversized “HG” monogram is featured within the Vans checkerboard pattern and showcased on the heel scab as well. The shoes, which retail for $130, also include a custom lace branded with the HommeGirls name, an option presented alongside solid laces.

In addition to shoes, the collection features several apparel items ranging from a jacket to pants to socks, among other options. The pieces are meant to blend the appeal of traditional workwear with the unique design ethos of OTW, bringing about an aesthetic describes as elevated and refined. For each garment, an emphasis is placed on style, functionality, comfort and durability, showcasing a versatile design that offers a refined spin on utility. The structured fit and detailing of the garments is intended to bring everyday fashion to a new level.

HommeGirls founder Thakoon Panichgul said in a statement, “The second drop of OTW by Vans x HommeGirls continues the play on the checkerboard motif, but this time in a patchwork effect — from using stripe shirting mixed with white cotton poplin to a workwear-meets-military canvas patchwork jacket. All the elements that are tried and true HommeGirls, and nodding to the originality of Vans OTW.”

The news of this second capsule follows Vans revealing its Old Skool 36 FM style during Milan Design Week earlier this month.
