Nike Is Bringing Back a Cult Classic 2000s Soccer Sneaker With Shox Cushioning
Nike’s recent relaunch of the Total 90 3 as a sneaker has shown the appetite for the aura of aughts soccer (or football) and it’ll soon lean into the era further by bringing back a lesser known model from the T90 family.
The Nike Total 90 Secutor Shox Magia will hit stores this fall in two colorways, according to a report from the blog Sneaker Market Romania. Originally made for indoor soccer in 2003, the shoe features its namesake cushioning in the heel, a technology that’s been also been revived by Nike recently with an appeal for nostalgia.
Total 90 DNA is maintained through the upper’s quilted lines, and even though the outsole was made for astroturf, it carried appeal for everyday wear in the early 2000s and is ripe to do so once again.

One colorway confirmed leads with the on-trend metallic silver and is accented by black, while the second flips the application of colors. Only the SKUs for these colorways (HQ5407-001 and IM9326-001) have been revealed, with imagery for the retro sneakers not having leaked yet.
Documentation on the Total 90 sneaker with Shox isn’t great, but old pairs can be found under both the names Secutor and Total Magia. It’s possible the different names were used for different markets, but whatever the explanation for the disconnect, they’re all being used at once now.
After selling through completely in its silver relaunch colorway, and almost entirely in the black edition that released alongside it, the Total 90 3 will return with three additional variants this spring.
