Nike Made an Air Force 1 for Its NYC High School Streetball Tournament
NY vs NY, Nike‘s annual streetball tournament gathering some of the best high school players in New York City, will return this year for the eight for the time. And even though details for the games have yet to be announced, the sneakers made for the occasion are already beginning to surface.
The Nike Air Force 1 Low “NY vs NY” will be one of several sneakers dropping to commemorate the basketball showcase. Starting with an all-white foundation, the sneaker gets a lenticular pink and yellow Swoosh with black trim. The NY vs NY logo is printed on the lateral heel, and the outsole appears in a translucent mint. Inside, you’ll find a peach liner and insole, the latter of which features a custom NY vs NY graphic. Rounding out the flourishes are two metal “NY” lace dubraes.
With the exception of the pandemic from 2020 to 2021, Nike has hosted NY vs NY each year since 2017. Six teams represent six different outdoor basketball courts throughout New York City, each of which gets a turn to host games through the course of the tournament. For the 2024 final, a hardwood court was built underneath the Brooklyn Bridge at Emily Warren Roebling Plaza.

Nike has released sneakers for NY vs NY each year since 2019, including during the pandemic, and the Air Force 1 Low has been a fitting fixture given its long prominence in New York City’s culture. So far for this year, An Air Max Uptempo 95 has been revealed, and a Ja 3 is expected as well.
The Nike Air Force 1 Low “NY vs NY” will release this summer through the Snkrs app and select third-party retailers. Pricing is set at $135.
