CamperLab is reimagining its Tossu shoe model through a new collaboration with Concept (K) founder Daniel Bailey, better known in the sneaker world as Mr. Bailey.

According to the Camper-owned division, this newest project incorporates advanced production techniques into the Tossu silhouette, including a 3D bonding process that combines a molded rubber outsole with a 3D-knitted sock made from recycled polyester.

For Bailey – who has previously done shoes with Adidas, Zegna and Takashi Murakami – this new collaboration brings together the two companies’ shared appreciation for the design process.

“We’ve long admired CamperLab’s approach to design, particularly their recent innovations in footwear that feature a direct injection manufacturing process,” Bailey said. “The result is a product that feels like art — sculptural, yet robust.”

The designer and Concept Kicks founder added that what made the collaboration even more compelling is “the combination of artistry with a construction process that is both innovative and locally produced in Europe.”

“As a studio that places a strong emphasis on the relationship between method and aesthetics, where design is a direct reflection of the manufacturing process, it felt only natural for us to collaborate with CamperLab,” Baily commented. “Together, we could tell the story of their products through our platform, showcasing the craft and ingenuity behind their creations.”

Indeed, Bailey noted that Concept (K)’s signature concrete-inspired palette of muted Earth-toned shades of gray and beige are central to the direction of this project.

“Raw materials, particularly concrete, play a crucial role in our aesthetic identity,” Bailey added. “The subtle greys and tactile surfaces help us maintain a consistent narrative across our work. Concrete, with its complex manufacturing process, has become a defining element of our brand. Comprised of diverse components, concrete forms a strong, enduring foundation — an ideal metaphor for the values that define us as a studio.”

This is the latest project from CamperLab’s creative director Achilles Ion Gabriel. In June, the company released the Caramba shoe. Named for the popular Spanish expression of surprise and outrage, the hybrid silhouette is defined by its oversized proportions and cheeky design – something of a signature for the Camper division as of late.

The new CamperLab by Concept (K) Stone Grey Tossu will be available for $360 on conceptkicks.com, camper.com and selected multi-brand retailers starting on Dec. 12.
