Labrum Reveals Adidas Sambas Collaboration at London Fashion Week
Labrum took Adidas‘ hit Samba sneakers to the runway during London Fashion Week.
The athletic brand’s popular shoe style, originally launched as an indoor soccer sneaker in the ’80s and which faced a renaissance in the 2020s, was shown in two new colorways during designer Foday Dumbuya’s spring 2024 show.
One pair featured smooth black uppers, complete with printed red paneling across its signature lace-up silhouette. The set was punctuated by Adidas’ signature triple stripes in a stark white tone.
The second Samba shoe to populate the runway featured a darker tone, encompassing a deep black palette with the same aforementioned white stripes. The sporty shoes were contrasted during the show with a variety of suiting separates, textured knits and retro athleisure, cast in coordinating hues of black, white, red and blue.
Adidas and Lebrum’s Samba collaboration drop on the brand’s runway marks the latest shoe collaboration to make its debut during London Fashion Week’s spring 2024 season. Previously, Simone Rocha went instantly viral for her pearl and crystal-adorned lineup of collaborative Crocs clogs, while Skepta revealed a chunky black and iridescent iteration of a new Puma sneaker during his fashion show for Mains London.

LFW is held in London in September, marking the second week of Fashion Month. The spring 2024 season will see a calendar of fashion shows and presentations from a range of brands, including Burberry, Simone Rocha, Erdem and more. The occasion will also include numerous parties and activations from brands like Valentino, Wolf & Badger and Wonderland magazine — as well as the star-studded Vogue World: London event, which celebrates fashion’s international community with a current-season runway show.
