A Ma Maniére is once again wrangling an assortment of Nike icons, and this time it’s “For the Love.”
The A Ma Maniére x Air Jordan 3 “For the Love,” Nike Air Max 95 “Hand Wash Cold” and Nike Air Force 1 Low “Hand Wash Cold” form the collection, which will release near the end of March exclusively through the boutique. All three sneakers had previously leaked, with the Air Max 95 holding out the longest until just this week. A Ma Maniére‘s has now officially announced the capsule — which it frames as a statement of “unity, joy and cultural impact” — and as usual, a dusky color palette reigns supreme.
Gone is the signature elephant print of the Air Jordan 3, as the panels are replaced by grey suede. White leather forms the rest of the upper, and a washed-out blue is used for the mustache’s “Nike Air Mark,” was well as the heel stabilizer, select eyelets and the tongue’s mismatched “A” and Jumpman logos. The sneaker could almost be seen as a redux of the original “True Blue” Air Jordan 3, only with the saturation dialed down significantly.
A Ma Maniére’s new Air Max 95 follows the lead of its first, which came out late last year as part of the “While You Were Sleeping” collection with wavy suede overlays with zig-zag stitching. A swap in colors sees blue, green, grey and black come together. The usual tiny Nike Swoosh near the heel appears in a smoky lavendar, as does the “A Ma Maniére” script embroidery on the toe tip.
The name “Hand Wash Cold” is actually being used for the second time by A Ma Maniére, the previous time being for another Air Force 1 Low made with premium leather in 2019. The newer edition is simplified and more black-dominant, offset by white trim for its Swoosh and white branding for the boutique on the midsole’s heel.
For the collection’s campaign, which A Ma Maniére says “signals the world’s need for togetherness, now more then ever,” the boutique will hold “Maison Maniére” celebrations in Washington D.C. and Houston on March 25 and March 30, respectively.
Accompanying the sneakers for release will be a range of four clothing pieces made with black, Italian-made Limonta nylon: a coach’s jacket, reversible bomber, tech pant and cargo pant.
The A Ma Maniére x Air Jordan 3 “For the Love,” Nike Air Max 95 “Hand Wash Cold” and Nike Air Force 1 Low “Hand Wash Cold” will release March 29 exclusively through A Ma Maniére’s website and stores in Atlanta, Washington D.C. and Houston. Online raffles for the sneakers are open now, and an early launch prioritizing women is also scheduled for March 22 in all three locations. The AJ3 is priced at $225, the AM95 $190 and the AF1 $150.
