Zappos and Rover have collaborated to deliver the first-ever dog-walking shoe shop. The shoe shop is a a selection of shoes curated through data and surveys meant to find the perfect walkable shoe.
“Rover surveyed their five-star dog walkers along with 1,000 dog parents and found that 38% of pet parents buy shoes specifically for walking their dog,” reads an official description on the Zappos website. “With that in mind, Rover and Zappos have “pawtnered” together to curate a collection of footwear for walking our favorite furry pals. See more stats below and see which kind of walker you are.”
For starters, the curation includes a selection of slippers and slides for the “woke up and ready to roll” walker. Under that title, which was preferred by 27% of surveyed dog walkers, you can find slippers and slides from UGG, Adidas, Birkenstock, Toms, Sanuk, Dirty Laundry and more.
70% of surveyed dog walkers fit under the “10K steps a day” walker, which prioritizes comfort and practicality with shoe-laced sneakers. The “10K steps a day” curation includes brands like New Balance, Hoka, Reebok, On, Asics and more.
About 10% of dog walkers voted for the “night on the town” selection, which is comprised of dressy shoes ideal for pre-date/date walks. This curation includes loafers heels from Coach, Steve Madden, Stuart Weitzman and more.
The “sport-mode” walker ended up being the most popular choice, which includes three main components, such as a comfortable (90%), durable (80%), easy-to-put-on (60%). Some brands featured under this selection, which is a large variety of shoes, are Crocs, Vans, Salomon, Keen, Hoka Chaco, and more.
