The U.S. is known for being one of the more laid-back Grand Slams. Unlike Wimbledon, players aren’t required to wear all-white on court. But some tennis fans think Nike may have taken it too far with their Unlimited NYC collection worn by some of the tournament’s top players. The neon tops, shorts and shoes (and in Juan Martin Del Potro’s case, socks and sweatbands) are a big distraction to viewers.
U.S. players Jack Sock and Madison Keys, who are both out of the tournament, were hard to miss in their neon outfits. Nick Kyrgios and Dan Evans, who played doubles together this tournament, wore matching neon Nike looks.
