Red Wing Heritage and Engineered Garments have teamed up to release the limited-edition Shop Moc Oxford collection. The range — which arrives is available March 18 — fuses Red Wing’s enduring craftsmanship with the futuristic sensibility of Engineered Garments.
Each pair of shoes in the collection features Storm Welt construction, which helps with durability and water resistance. A Traction Tred outsole, featuring Red Wing’s recognizable zig-zag pattern, helps with comfort and grip.
The collection also showcases a premium mix of materials. Every pair is crafted with a unique understated patchwork of full grain leathers and roughouts, which were tanned and produced by S.B. Foot Tanning Company, a Red Wing Shoe Co. subsidiary, in Red Wing, Minn.
Three colorways are showcased in the collection, including Copper Remix, Camel Remix and Triple Black. A description of the shoes explains, “These are designed to appear ‘solid colored’ yet upon closer inspection reveal a subtle play of tone and texture, that will become more prominent with age and wear.”
“This partnership with Engineered Garments allows us to integrate both brands’ approach to construction and attention to detail, and to create product that celebrates our heritage within the framework of contemporary menswear design,” Jase Swalve, Red Wing Heritage line manager, said in a statement. “The Shop Moc Oxford is a celebration of craftsmanship and creativity, appealing to those who appreciate quality and innovation.”
The collection will debut at select retailers globally and via Redwingheritage.com.
Red Wing has been tapping into the power of collaborations lately. The longstanding American brand recently teamed up with Fendi to create the hand-stitched Red Wing Fendi boot. Engineered Garments, meanwhile, has previously collaborated with Gola on a spring 2024 sneaker inspired by the 1970s and worked with K-Swiss to reimagine its Classic GT shoe.
