Thinking of getting some new ink? Jelly Roll and Hey Dude can help you with that, thanks to their new limited-edition “tattoo”-detailed shoe that launched today on HeyDude.com. Sizes are already selling out quickly, so we recommend grabbing the style ASAP.
The new creation, called the Hey Dude Jelly Roll Wally, follows the success of the first collaborative shoe from the partnership between the musician and footwear brand (which sold out in less than one minute). Described by Hey Dude as “even more intricate” than the debut shoe, the latest invention “weaves storytelling with ‘ink,’ past with present and heart with soul. The black suede ‘tattoo’ detailing exemplifies Jelly Roll’s authenticity, individuality, and unwavering loyalty — and the unmatched comfort of Hey Dude that is unlike anything.”
Jelly Roll, as those familiar with the artist might know, has many tattoos. “Noah” (the name of his son) and a skull with a crown (echoing the cover for his album “Beautifully Broken”) are among the designs debossed on the black suede upper of the monochromatic shoe. The shoe, priced at $84.99, also includes marble printing along the midsole, which is described as ultralight, as well as co-branding on the insole. The Wally additionally features an easy-on lacing system.
Hey Dude and Jelly Roll’s first shoe, which launched last October, was a Wally Slip Canvas shoe inspired by his “Beautifully Broken” album cover, showcasing a skull wearing a crown. It was announced that month that the singer/rapper and fashion brand had entered into a longterm, global partnership together.
Meanwhile, in the Hey Dude world, Sydney Sweeney is another high-profile celebrity ambassador for the comfort-focused footwear brand owned by Crocs Inc. The actress and producer recently spoke to WWD ahead of the launch of a campaign showcasing the brand’s Austin Lift, which is a platform slip-on shoe.
“The Austin Lift, which is like my new absolute favorite shoe, is perfect for any fashion emergency,” Sweeney said. “It’s light and it’s comfortable, and I’m such a short girl, so I always like a little bit of a boost, and anything that has a little bit of a platform I’m really happy with. So, it just makes me feel really confident and I love that.”
As for the newest Hey Dude arrival (which you should snag before inventory completely runs out!), it’s just as raw, honest and real as its creator Jelly Roll — vibes we’re all hoping to channel this spring.
