Crocs Collaborates With ‘SpongeBob SquarePants’ on New Character-Inspired Footwear Collection

“SpongeBob SquarePants,” the animated children’s program tied to the Nickelodeon network, is the latest inspiration behind the newest Crocs collection with four new character-themed iterations of the brand’s Classic clog, Off Court clog and Cozy sandal silhouettes.
Both the SpongeBob SquarePants and Patrick Star editions of Crocs’ Classic clog are equipped with a colored foam upper designed in each character’s likeness. Additionally, the multi-toned midsole references both SpongeBob and Patrick’s signature brown and floral shorts, respectively.
In addition to its characters-themed shoes, the brand has released a Bikinni Bottom-inspired version of both its Off Court clog and Cozy sandal styles. While the Off Court clog features a multi-character-adorned foam upper and similarly designed midsole, the Cozy sandal is designed in a neutral shade of sand and finished with a blue-colored fur lining.

Each shoe will include an assortment of “SpongeBob SquarePants-themed” Jibbitz charms, inspired by the playful motifs, characters and colorways present throughout the show. These Jibbitz charms can also be purchased separately for an individual and customizable style.

Several Crocs collaborations have exploded in popularity over the years, earning the brand an entirely new fanbase. Some might even say the iconized foam slip-on is even more identifiable than a pair of Nike sneakers or Louboutin heels.
From luxury fashion labels like Christian Cowan and Simone Rocha to Jimmy Buffett’s restaurant Margaritaville and Lisa Frank, it seems Crocs has teamed up with just about every designer, franchise and character. Other collaborations from the brand include Shrek, Barney, Pac-Man and Hello Kitty. In fact, a new Hello Kitty-themed clog collection featuring all-new heeled styles dropped earlier this month.
