Easy Spirit, Andre Assous and More Footwear Brands Announce Breast Cancer Awareness Month Initiatives

Easy Spirit

Easy Spirit will continue its “Move for Pink” campaign, extending their commitment to supporting Breast Cancer Awareness Month. In partnership with Shoes for a Cure, a program under the Fashion Footwear Charitable Foundation (FFCF) and the leading fundraiser in the footwear industry for breast cancer research, Easy Spirit launched the limited-edition “Move for Pink” Maxine Sneaker ($99).

Featuring the advanced EMOVE technology for optimal comfort, support, cushioning, and shock absorption, a portion of the proceeds will support Dr. Lisa Newman’s groundbreaking breast cancer research. Parent company Marc Fisher Footwear will donate $25,000 to further her efforts.

Vionic

This year, Vionic is releasing their limited edition 23Walk 2.0 Sneaker in Cameo Pink, as part of their campaign to champion the fight against breast cancer. Vionic is also pledging to donate a minimum of $100,000 from the sales of this exclusive sneaker to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF).

This marks their third annual collaboration with BCRF. Last year, Vionic raised $143,000, surpassing their initial goal of $100,000.

OOFOS

OOFOS launched the OOahh FUSED Project Pink slide, a limited edition product, on Oct. 1. OOahh FUSED Project Pink slide donates 10 percent of proceeds from every pair sold to fund advancements in patient care and cancer research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. The slide is part of OOFOS’ ongoing Project Pink Initiative, to donate a percentage of every pair sold to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund. To date, the company reports that the initiative has provided over $4.5 million in direct funding to the causes.

Athletic Propulsion Labs

Athletic Propulsion Labs will once again partner with the Women’s Cancer Research Fund, a Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) program. This year, the company is releasing a Limited-Edition colorway of the APL TechLoom Dream in Fusion Pink/Bleached Pink/Phantom Purple (BCA), which includes a special detailing of a satin pink ribbon on the heel, in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. APL will donate 20 percent of the style’s sales price to the Women’s Cancer Research Fund with a minimum guaranteed donation of $5,000 for the limited-edition release. The TechLoom Dream in Fusion Pink/Bleached Pink/ Phantom Purple (BCA) retails for $250.

Donald Pliner

Donald Pliner is partnering with Shoes for a Cure and the Fashion Footwear Charitable Foundation (FFCF) to support breast cancer awareness and research for the second year in a row. A portion of every sale made on the Donald Pliner website in October this year will be donated to Shoes for a Cure, in addition to saleable footwear for the 5-day charity shoe sale. This initiative includes footwear donations, website donations, employee volunteer efforts, and consumer engagement to fund breast cancer research.

Andre Assous

Andre Assous announced the continuation of an ongoing partnership with Susan G. Komen. For the entire month of October, Andre Assous will donate $5.00 for every pair of shoes sold on the company’s website to Susan G. Komen. The brand is also continuing a direct consumer donation program at checkout with 100 percent of customer donations benefiting Susan G. Komen running until September of 2025.

Andre Assous will match the consumer donation amount. “We couldn’t be more honored to continue our partnership with Susan G.
