It’s no secret that sneakers usually dominate the street-style season, and this season in London was no different. Whereas the women’s shows usually spur a number of showgoers in hot-off-the-runway shoes — especially Gucci last season — the men’s scene at London Collections Men saw a return to more classic kicks.
Without a doubt, Vans proved to be the street-style ruler. Many opted to wear the skater brand’s iconic Sk8-Hi style in its signature checkerboard print. The Vans Old Skool low-top also made several appearances in classic black and white, or custom bright color combos.
Sneakers with more of a cult following also made it onto the scene as well. We spotted the Converse x Comme des Garcons low-tops and Raf Simons runners. Meanwhile, sneakers from the runway included Coach’s spring ’16 printed high-tops.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a street-style moment without some Gucci thrown into the mix. We spotted the Italian brand’s classic horsebit loafers, as well as more flamboyant floral-printed styles.
