Talk about an odd couple. Experimental Scottish designer Christopher Kane applied his signature irreverence to the most unlikely of brands: Crocs. The clogs (popular with chefs, nurses, children and gardeners) were given a fashionable update for Kane’s spring ’17 collection, which debuted during London Fashion Week on Sept. 19, Footwear News reports. The brand’s classic rubber vented style was embellished with large raw gem stones.
Dispelling the notion that Crocs are strictly casual, for the show they were paired with everything from pleated lamé dresses to fur coats. Talk about a high-low mix.
The styles will be produced and sold.
