Zoe Saldana Dons Dressy Thom Browne Longwing Platform Brogues and Pin Strip Gown on the Met Gala 2025 Red Carpet

Zoe Saldaña graced the blue floral carpet on Monday at the coveted 2025 Met Gala in New York. This year’s theme was “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.”
The “Avatar” star stuck to the theme, donning a dapper pair of platform Thom Browne Longwing brogues. Currently retailing for $2,600, the chosen style featured contrasting black and white patent leather uppers accompanied by thin white laces and black trim with decorative broguing perforation.
Whimsical striped insoles gave way to striped grosgrain loop tabs at heels, offering the silhouette an instantly recognizable touch. Striping is a signature for Thom Browne, seen in many of their footwear creations. The shoes were situated atop lofty platform heels and block heels standing at 6.6 inches in height, offering a sky-high boost. The daring designer footwear pick gave Saldana a larger-than-life feel.

The “Emilia Pérez” actress also wore a custom Thom Browne gown in coordinating black and white hues. The garment was corseted and featured a collared neckline, long sleeves and a slit up the side. The dress also included a slew of button accents throughout, giving the garment a playful textural finish.
The 2025 Met Gala was held yesterday in New York. The theme, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” celebrates all things African American styles and culture. This year’s co-chairs include Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky and Pharrell Williams, along with Vogue’s Editor In Chief Anna Wintour. The gala gathers top stars from all walks of life, celebrating the arts and fashion for one night each year on the first Monday in May.
A lover of taking risks with her wardrobe, Saldana’s fashion choices are often chic and sleek. On the red carpet, the “Star Trek” actress favors stiletto-heeled pumps and mules by Louboutin, Piferi and Jimmy Choo, among other luxury labels.
