Zoe Saldaña Embraced Monochrome Dressing in Wine-Colored Saint Laurent Peep-Toe Sandals & Satin Dress at 2025 Oscar Nominees Dinner
Zoe Saldaña made a sumptuous case for monochrome dressing in an elegant head-to-toe wine-colored look from Saint Laurent at the 97th Academy Awards Nominees Dinner in Los Angeles yesterday.
The “Emelia Perez” star perfectly paired the French brand’s La Scandale patent leather peep-toe stiletto sandals with a long-sleeve silk gown. The shoes feature a trendy square toe, 11cm / 4.3-inch stiletto heel and a slim ankle strap. The Saint Laurent La Scandale silhouette also comes in a platform style, which offers both smooth and patent leather black and neutral colorways.
The “Avatar” star’s style is stylish, glamorous and elegant, yet she is not afraid to reach for a bold color or unique silhouette. The same hold true for her shoe style. On the red carpet, she often wears stiletto sandals, pointed-toe pumps or even thigh-high heeled boots.

Saldaña posed with Best Actress nominees Demi Moore and Cynthia Erivo — who wore a stunning, towering pair of Christian Louboutin ballet-inspired platforms — at the Academy Awards Nominees Dinner. Ariana Grande, Timothee Chalamet, Mikey Madison, Colman Domingo and Isabella Rossellini also attended the star-studded dinner, which took place at Academy Museum of Motion Pictures.
The Oscar Nominees Dinner took the place of the annual Oscar Nominees Luncheon, which typically happens further ahead of the show but was canceled this year in the wake of the catastrophic Los Angeles wildfires.
The Dominican-American actor just took home the SAG Award for Best Supporting Actress on Sunday for her role in the controversial crime musical “Emilia Pérez.” She’s also won for the role at the Golden Globes, Critics’ Choice and BAFTAs, so remains a likely Oscar contender, even as resurfaced racist tweets from the film’s lead Karla Sofía Gascón have overshadowed its success. “Emilia Pérez” leads the 2025 Oscars with 13 nominations. Gascón did not attend the dinner but will attend the awards ceremony, with expenses paid by Netflix instead of the Academy.
The 97th annual Oscars take place this Sunday in Los Angeles and will air on ABC.
