Zendaya Goes All White in Supremely Tailored Suit and 6-Inch Jimmy Choo Platform Shoes for Met Gala 2025 Red Carpet
Zendaya made her much-anticipated return on the Met Gala 2025 red carpet on Monday. The star has become one of the most discussed red carpet celebrities over the years, making herself a standout of the annual Met Gala event. Last year, after a multi-year break from the fundraiser, Zendaya returned to the Met Gala as an event co-chair turning out two headline-grabbing looks. Now, she’s back for the iteration marking the start of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” exhibit.
Monday’s red carpet theme was “Tailored for You.” That in mind, Zendaya wore a sharply tailored pantsuit for the event. It included wide leg trousers for a 1970s flair, a favorite decade for her image architect Law Roach. She also wore a white wide-brimmed hat that many connected to “Mahogany,” a film that Roach has often pointed to as an inspiration point.

The suit is a three-piece ensemble and includes a white satin necktie. The suit is custom from Louis Vuitton — Zendaya is a face of the brand. It also includes a serpentine detail at the back collar courtesy of Bulgari. The actress is also a face of the jewelry brand.
For shoes, the performer wore a pair of white Jimmy Choo Max platforms, according to a release from the brand. The shoes are white leather. They feature an open toe. In addition they sport a pin-thin stiletto heel. The heel measures 5.9 inches, aided by the thick platform.
This isn’t Zendaya’s first time wearing the Jimmy Choo Max platform. She notably wore the style in gold to the New York premiere of her film “Dune: Two.” That event was held at Jazz at Lincoln Center in February 2024. Then, she doubled back and wore the shoe in silver to the 2024 Gotham Awards. That event was held in December.
The 2025 Met Gala is unfolding on May 5, the first Monday in May, at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City with the theme “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.” Celebrity co-chairs include Colman Domingo, Pharrell Williams, A$AP Rocky and Lewis Hamilton. This year, the philanthropic event raised $71 million for the Costume Institute, a record-breaking number for the Met Gala.
