Tracee Ellis Ross attended the Prada Men’s store opening on Fifth Avenue yesterday in New York. The designer store opening was also attended by stars like Hunter Schafer, Paloma Elsesser, Sunisa Lee, Benedict Cumberbatch and Claire Danes, among others.
In true Prada fashion, the “Blackish” star donned the brand’s two-tone brushed leather pumps in a “Tobacco/White” colorway. Currently retailing for $1,450 via the brand’s website, the chosen loafer-like style features brown glossy brushed leather uppers that transition into unique square toes adorned with curled sculptural white adornments printed with the Prada logo.
The dynamic detailing gave way to short and walkable block heels standing at a short and sweet 1.3 inches. The two-toned pump also comes in a “Black/White” colorway for those looking for a less adventurous option. The shoe is futuristic in nature, what with the square toes and architectural detailing, while the block heel and low-top construction evoke a common loafer silhouette.
The “American Fiction” actress paired her loafer-inspired pumps with a boxy suiting moment, likely also from Prada. The menswear-esque moment included a lengthy gray blazer layered over a crisp white button-up. Her top was tucked into gray wool trousers. Ross’ trousers were belted. Finally, the thespian toted a brown leather bowling-inspired bag with fringy sides and gold clasp detailing. Ross’ suiting look was likely meant to pay homage to Prada’s extensive menswear line, footwear, and all.
Ross always gives a masterclass in style. Her shoe wardrobe is just as impressive, ranging from pumps to sandals and boots from labels like Versace, Andrea Wazen and Gucci, among other top brands. When she’s not in heels, the Golden Globe Award winner will likely complete her looks with various sneaker silhouettes. She always offers sneaker outfit inspiration by proving that classic kicks can be styled in several different ways.
