Simone Biles Wore Chic Slingback Pumps to Surpise Hoda Kotb on Her Last Day Hosting the ‘Today Show’
Simone Biles made a chic appearance during a surprise visit to the “Today” show for long-time anchor Hoda Kotb‘s last day on Friday.
The world-renowned gymnast wore a colorful abstract printed fur coat atop a black leotard paired with black stockings and sleek slingback pumps. Biles’s pointed-toe shoes featured a sparkly oval embellishment at the back and angular high heels that appeared to be around 3 inches high.
The Olympic gold medalist accessorized her chic look with shimmering diamond stud earrings and a matching necklace.

During the appearance, Biles said, “She’s like our Olympic mom. I’ve been coming to the Today show for years and sharing vulnerable stories, which Hoda has given us such a great platform [for], to be open and raw and to just feel like [it’s] a safe space.”
Recently, Biles has been busy supporting her footballer husband, Jonathan Owens, who plays for the Chicago Bears. Last month, she was pictured on the field multiple times in different outfits repping Owens’ likeness. One appearance on Dec. 8 saw the Nike athlete in silver crystal-embellished sunglasses emblazoned with Owens’ number 36. On each occasion, she wore pointy white block-heeled booties. Biles has also been seen attending games in black ankle booties.
Throughout 2024, the legendary gymnast’s shoe style has run the gamut. She’s stepped out in strappy red knee-high boots, clear PVC sandals, and ivory cowboy boots embroidered with stars. For formal events, Biles had often reached for strappy sandals, sky-high platforms, and peep-toe pumps from brands like Christian Louboutin, Saint Laurent, and Schutz. When Biles isn’t wearing heels or boots, she’s been known to wear sneakers from Nike, of course, as well as New Balance, On Running, and even Dior. After leaving Nike in 2021, Biles signed a deal with Gap Inc. athleisure company Athleta.
