Simone Biles attended the 2025 Met Gala held tonight in New York. This year’s theme is “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.” Biles attended alongside her husband, football player Jonathan Owens.
The Olympian graced the blue floral carpet in a lofty pair of platform sandals in a bright blue hue, hailing from Aquazzura. Currently retailing for $596.99 via Saks Off Fifth, Biles’ Yes Darling silhouette featured bright blue silk or satin uppers accompanied by almond-shaped open toes and thick crisscrossing straps that sat atop her toes.
Each toe was adorned with a sparkling crystal-studded ball in silver. Sky-high platform soles gave way to ankle straps that were secured in place with adjustable buckle closures. 5-inch block heels rounded out the set, offering the vertically challenged athlete a major boost. It’s likely Biles’ shoes were custom, given her specific colorway doesn’t seem to be for sale.
The gymnast was also dressed in a matching bright blue gown featuring a lengthy train. The garment was high-low and featured a collared neckline and floral embellishments throughout. Ornate buttons fixed with colorful gemstones brought the shine and drama.
The 2025 Met Gala is being held tonight in New York. The theme, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” celebrates all things African American styles and culture. This year’s co-chairs include Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky and Pharrell Williams, along with Vogue’s Editor In Chief Anna Wintour. The gala gathers top stars from all walks of life, celebrating the arts and fashion for one night each year on the first Monday in May.
For formal occasions, she can be seen in strappy sandals, sky-high platforms, and peep-toe pumps by Christian Louboutin, Saint Laurent, Schutz and Badgley Mischka. Biles also holds a long-term partnership with Athleta, where she debuted her own line of performance wear. She is also a partner for the brand’s active and athleisure apparel.
