Queen Letizia of Spain channeled office elegance in a grey wool wrap-style Cortana midi dress and knee-high black leather boots at a meeting with the board of trustees of The Royal Collection Gallery on Tuesday in Madrid.
The monarch’s stylish winter footwear are made of shiny black leather and feature a square toe and trendy-yet-classic 2.36-inch block heel. The boots appear to be the Unisa “Luke” boots, which she’s worn on multiple occasions, dating back to January 2023, when she paired them with a chic wool oversized trench coat to visit the Spanish island of Menorca. She has also worn the same dress from the Spanish natural fabric designer before.
Knee-high boots were first popularized in the ‘60 with white go-go boots. As the name implies, the shoes hit right below the knee, and often feature a block or stiletto heel. The classic style is a popular fall and winter boot to pair with skirts and dresses.
Queen Letizia has an enviable shoe collection—which she’s not afraid to rewear—is filled with tasteful designer pumps, sandals, wedges, mules and boots. The slingback pump stiletto and the classic pump are her favorite shoe styles, particularly from Spanish designers Magrit, Isabel Abdó and Carolina Herrera.
She is not afraid of bringing a modern, trendy touch to her regal style, such as when she wore strappy silver block heel sandals to the 2024 Atlantida Mallorca Film Fest or the chunky black leather Lattelier loafers to visit an elementary school in January.
The Spanish royal was joined by her husband King Felipe VI, both of whom are trustees of the new museum, which opened in 2023 next to the Royal Palace of Madrid.
