Paige Bueckers paid a visit to “Good Morning America” on Wednesday following the 2025 WNBA Draft days prior.
The UConn Huskies guard, who was selected No. 1 by the Dallas Wings on Monday, stepped out in a casual-cool ensemble for the talk show appearance. The college basketball star wore an oversized army green leather jacket with a zipper detail atop a black and white plaid dress shirt featuring a contrasting white collar and medium-wash jeans boasting a trendy baggy silhouette.
On foot, she tied her look together with a pair of white leather Prada loafers stamped with the brand’s distinctive enameled metal triangle logo. The white shoes seamlessly complemented her button-down shirt’s white collar.
Prada’s brushed leather logo-embellished loafers, which come in a variety of silhouettes, have been hugely popular among the fashion set for years. The classic style Bueckers wore retails for $1,200 on prada.com.
When Bueckers gets more dressed up, like at the WNBA Draft or the ESPYs, she’s been known to wear avant-garde suits. She sported a shimmery black Coach pantsuit covered in rhinestones at the draft. As for shoes, she wore another loafer, this time a chunky platform style also courtesy of Coach.
At the 2024 draft, she was decked out in an all-white Louis Vuitton ‘fit complete with the brand’s tonal, logo-stamped Rivoli sneaker. Meanwhile, Bueckers showed off two bold suits courtesy of Brooklyn streetwear label KidSuper at the ESPYS last July. Bueckers has been working exclusively with stylist stylist Brittany Hampton.
On the casual shoe front, she’s often seen in Air Jordans and Nike silhouettes. In particular, she’s a fan of the Jordan 4, Nike Air Force 1s, and Nike’s beloved Dunk series. The University of Connecticut alum signed on as a Nike athlete when her career took off. Bueckers made history as the first NIL college athlete to drop a Nike Player Edition basketball sneaker, the Paige Bueckers Nike G.T. Hustle 3., in December 2024.
“It’s definitely motivating to wear your own shoe,” she said of the release. “I grew up wearing Nikes — all the signature shoes — so it’s surreal to have this Player Edition model. I just want to show out in it.”
