Broadway legend Kristin Chenoweth turned a glamorous look at the opening night of “Smash” at the Imperial Theatre in New York City on Thursday night. The television and theater actress joined other stars like Sarah Jessica Parker, Matthew Broderick, Nathan Lane, Billy Crystal, and Debra Messing.

Chenoweth hit the red carpet in a black velvet strapless minidress featuring a V-shaped cutout in the center of the bodice and a skirt boasting a circle pattern formed by tiny triangular rhinestones. The “Wicked” alum coordinated her shoes with her look, reaching for black heels embellished with flashy crystals.

The style she chose was a d’Orsay silhouette featuring open sides that showcase the arches of the foot. Dressed in a silky black material, the pumps combined a classic pointed toe with a V-cut vamp with a crystalized detail, and skinny stiletto heels that looked to be about 4 inches high.

A silver metallic strip that wraps around the heel completes the style. Courtesy of Balmain, the shoes are available to shop on resale site Poshmark for $575. Offered in a size 9, they are currently marked down from $1,900. You can also find them listed for just $295 in a size 37 on eBay. Photos taken by the resellers reveal the glitzy heels to have a quilted leather lining stamped with the Balmain logo.

Chenoweth tied her look together with dazzling diamond earrings, a diamond link bracelet, and multiple diamond rings. When it comes to footwear, the “Glee” actress is a proven fan of embellished pumps and sandals. She recently stepped out in silver metallic leather T-strap sandals featuring an allover studded design, Jimmy Choo’s Lamba style. She also donned the iconic brand’s crystal-encrusted peep-toe Saeda sandals in gold at the premiere of “Wicked.”

Throughout her career, Chenoweth has often opted for bold outfits and footwear on the red carpet. In addition to crystal-embellished shoes, the singer has been known to wear denim boots, platform silhouettes, and iridescent pumps.

The Broadway version of “Smash” was inspired by the hit TV show starring Katharine McPhee, Megan Hilty, Debra Messing, Leslie Odom Jr., and more. The show follows the production of a fictional musical, “Bombshell,” about the life of Marilyn Monroe.
