Katie Holmes Continues Her Balletcore Era in Chanel Mary Jane Flats

Katie Holmes was seen out in SoHo on June 5 with her signature personal style on display. The actress wore a pair of black Chanel Mary Jane ballet flats to accompany a relaxed springtime ensemble including a pair of flowing white pants.
Holmes crossed the streets of New York in a casual white shirt, which she tucked into a pair of wide-leg white pants. The “Alone Together” director contrasted this with a darker layer, choosing to wear an ankle-length black trench coat over her outfit. She also carried a black purse which picked up her jacket and shoes.
From Chanel’s spring 2024 collection, Holmes’ flats were two toned, with a metallic material covering most of the shoe while the toe was matte black. The dainty flats included not one but two buckled straps across the foot, a variation of the classic Mary Jane style shoe.
A well known fan of ballet flats, Holmes has recently worn a similar pair of shoes, opting for an edgier choice when she stepped out in Miu Miu Belt Detailed Ballerina Flats in March. She also wore metallic silver ballet flats with a centerpiece bowtie in January. Another day sans heels, she slipped on Acne Studios square toed loafers in April; she’s also known to keep it classic with her black horsebit Gucci loafers.

Holmes will sometimes opt for a heel — she was seen wearing espadrille wedge sandals by Clemens in March. She also stepped out in Nomasei’s Aria boots with a square heel in the fall of 2023.
