Kandi Burruss isn’t backing down from her role as producer. The “Real Housewives” star joined the team for the anticipated Broadway production of “Othello” featuring Denzel Washington and Jake Gyllenhaal in August. Now, she’s celebrating the previews for the theatrical project on Instagram.
“Previews have officially started for Othello!” she wrote to Instagram. “I hope to see you there.” In the snaps, which were shot by Salvatore DeMaio, Burruss appears wearing a sleeveless Sally La Pointe dress and faux leather pants from Krie. Her matching opera gloves are from Urstadt Swan. She was styled by Daniel Hawkins.
For shoes, the “Reasonable Doubt” star wore a pair of black satin Rene Caovilla Cleo heels. Featuring a satin upper that is lined in leather, the styles feature two straps across the foot. In addition, they include one last strap that starts from the sole and winds up and around the ankle. This silhouette is the Rene Caovilla signature style which was inspired by an Egyptian serpentine bangle.
The heel measures four inches. The shoe also includes a glittery sole, which the company calls it their signature stardust sole. They’ve been utilizing it since 2008 on all their shoes.
Caovilla is one of the oldest luxury footwear brands still in existence. In fact, the Cleo, which is named for Queen Cleopatra of Egypt, was first designed in 1969 before putting it to market in 1973. 2023 marked 50 years of the shoe. Between the Cleo and the Margot — which is a tweaked design that sees the coil going around the heel as well — celebrities have been wearing Caovilla for years.
