Jennifer Lopez and her 17-year-old child Emme Muniz looked well-coordinated at the opening night of the Broadway show “Othello” on Sunday wearing an embellished Zuhair Murad look with platforms and a pinstriped suit with loafers, respectively.
Muniz looked sharp in a gray pinstriped suit featuring a single-breasted blazer and slightly slouchy trousers. They also wore a collared shirt with a striped tie, accentuating the formality of the look. Lopez, meanwhile, wore a look from Zuhair Murad’s fall 2024 collection, what appeared to be a black two-piece ensemble including a long sleeve crop top and mermaid skirt with crystal embellishments resembling a woman’s body. She accented the outfit with a heavy black fur coat.
To complement their pinstriped look, Muniz donned a pair of black loafers. The shiny leather shoes featured a chunky lug sole, stitching and a row of flat tassels across the upper. Lopez, meanwhile, elevated her Zuhair Murad look with black platform heels, seemingly a pair of sandals since an open-toe design could be seen when her long skirt allowed her shoes to peek out. What was clear was that the set featured a hefty platform, a footwear look the multi-hyphenate artist often goes for. She wore a metallic silver style from Dolce & Gabbana, for example, at the premiere of the movie “Unstoppable” at the Toronto International Film Festival in September.
The newest Broadway production of Shakespeare’s “Othello,” which broke records in ticket sales, stars Denzel Washington and Jake Gyllenhaal taking the classic text to a setting in the near future. In addition to Lopez and Muniz, the star-studded opening night also welcomed Jill and Joe Biden, Nicole Scherzinger, Ariana DeBose, Peter Dinklage, Colman Domingo and more.
