Jennifer Hudson was seen courtside at a game between the Los Angeles Lakers and Minnesota Timberwolves yesterday in Los Angeles. The singer sat beside her son, David Otunga Jr. The talk show host offered footwear fans a sneak peek at Swarovski’s latest collaboration with Crocs. The collaborative effort is set to release on May 6.
Turning Crocs’ platform Bae clog on its head, the style received a major upgrade with help from high-shine floral crystalized Jibbitz throughout. Hudson’s chosen pair retails for $1,200.
The silhouette features chunky black foam uppers and ventilation holes for a more breathable fit, a design staple for most of Crocs’ footwear creations. Lofty and plush platform soles give way to co-branding on the insoles and thick backstraps featuring crystalized woven detailing, making sure the shoe stays in place. The collaborative piece is practically dripping in gemstones, making the shoe a certified statement piece.
Vice President of global marketing at Crocs, Matias Infante, said in a statement about the collaboration,
“This global collection represents a bold evolution for Crocs, where iconic comfort meets exquisite craftsmanship. By embellishing our Classic and Bae Clogs with Swarovski crystals, we’re elevating our most recognizable silhouettes and solidifying our place in the fashion conversation.”
The highly anticipated collaborative drop also features a white Classic clog featuring a bedazzled dragonfly motif across the uppers.
Hudson wore her bedazzled Crocs with simple dark wash jeans and a puffy black leather bomber-esque jacket. The “Where You At” songstress also wore sunglasses with silver frames, accompanied by a slew of silver jewelry.
When it comes to footwear, Hudson favors statement-making strappy sandals and pointed-toe pumps by Giuseppe Zanotti, Sophia Webster and Jimmy Choo on the red carpet and at other formal events. However, she also wears footwear by emerging designers as well, like Titi Adesa.
