Deion Sanders did an unboxing video of some sleek shoes from Taft, as seen on his Instagram on Tuesday.
The football coach showed off two gifted styles, the Rapido high-top sneakers in “Brown Woven” and The Spectator shoe in “Honey.” Retailing for $375, the Rapido sneaker features a vintage 80s-inspired silhouette crafted of textural hand-woven leather made by artisans in Spain, with smooth and rich Spanish Calfskin. The high-tops also include custom rubber outsoles, leather lining, contrasting white lace-up closures, bronzy hardware, Taft embroidery on the heels and the founder’s signature embroidery on the ankle straps.
Retailing for $295, Taft’s Spectator shoe is similar to the preppy and formal silhouette of an Oxford. The shoe is crafted of a two-toned full-grain calfskin in contrasting “White” and “Honey” that transitions into capped toes featuring ornate embossed detailing.
The footwear features a kiltie which finds its origins in Scotland. The detail can be found on a wide range of vintage golf shoes and acts to protect the laces from dirt and water. The kiltie fitted to the Spectator shoe is removable. Leather soles round out the set, making for a plush feel when worn.
As Deion unboxed the shoes, his immediate reaction captured his admiration for the brand, exclaiming, “Quality brand with versatility. I like that. That’s clean.”
