Cynthia Erivo Dazzles in Brooch-Embellished Givenchy Boots on the Met Gala 2025 Red Carpet

Cynthia Erivo sparkled on the blue floral carpet at the 2025 Met Gala held tonight in New York. Tonight’s theme is “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.”
The “Wicked” star turned heads in a pair of knee-high black platform booties. Erivo’s footwear featured matte leather uppers in black that transitioned into thin black laces that traveled up the length of the shoe. Pointed toes were adorned with sparkling brooches fixed with colorful gemstones and opulent pearls.
The platforms were set on block heels that stood at 3 to 4 inches in height. You can often find Erivo in platform silhouettes from top brands like Pleaser, Christian Louboutin, R13, Casadei and Schiaparelli, among others.
The “Harriet” actress also wore a matching custom Givenchy ensemble. The look consisted of two pieces, a skirt and a top. The top was made of gray and constructed in a structural style. The top also featured a wide neckline and crystalized adornments all over to match the ones on her shoes. On the bottom, Erivo’s skirt was attached to short and voluminous bloomers, creating a high-low effect. The skirt was made of black tulle, creating an elegant shape. The star also carried a black clutch, likely also from Givenchy.

The 2025 Met Gala is being held tonight in New York. The theme, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” celebrates all things African American styles and culture. This year’s co-chairs include Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky and Pharrell Williams, along with Vogue’s Editor In Chief Anna Wintour. The gala gathers top stars from all walks of life, celebrating the arts and fashion for one night each year on the first Monday in May.
