Since rising to fame as one of the world’s most prominent young tennis stars, Coco Gauff has consistently shown her flair for fashion. Whether hitting the court in New Balance — with whom she signed a multiyear extension last year — or getting dressed up for an event, she never fails to turn a chic look. Over the years, she has displayed a love of bright hues as well as fun prints and eye-catching sandals.
Attending the WTA 50th Anniversary Gala in New York City on Aug. 25, the No. 4-ranked player looked effortlessly elegant in a silky, yellow-gold cowl neck slip dress. Gauff styled the vibrant gown with strappy gold metallic sandals featuring a sleek, ’90s-inspired square toe.
The tennis champion showcased another colorful gown at the WTA Finals in Fort Worth, Texas last fall. She wore a plunging purple dress featuring side cut-out details and a long skirt embellished with feathers. Gauff finished off the glamorous look with a pair of flashy, crystal-studded sandals, a diamond pendant necklace and a sleek watch.
For a match against France’s Caroline Garcia during the 2021 BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, Calif., Gauff sported a hot pink New Balance tank top with a black skirt and a neon yellow headband. On foot, she laced up light blue sneakers boasting pops of pink.
When she faced off against Japan’s Naomi Osaka at the U.S. Open 2019, Gauff chose to wear a blue and green patterned tank top and matching miniskirt paired with white sneakers. The New Balance sneakers featured black writing on the midsole that read, “Call Me Coco.” She also wore a red headband that matched the hits of red on her top.
