Carey Mulligan Chooses All Black for ‘Jimmy Kimmel’ in Bottega Veneta Look and Low-Cut Leather Shoe
Carey Mulligan chose all black for an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” For the appearance, she wore a black coat over an asymmetrical sleeveless top and trousers from Bottega Veneta. She also carried one of the brand’s well-known woven bags.
For shoes, Mulligan wore a pair of black leather Bottega Veneta heels, opting for the brand’s Sofia pump. The shoe is made of calfskin leather with a glossy finish. A slip-on style, it includes a low-cut vamp but is a shoe that otherwise provides a lot of coverage. The sculpted heel is 3.5 inches with a flared heel.
The sole features a rubber injected outsole. The company has used the rubber injected sole on other styles before. It has become an identifiable detail for the label.

Take the company’s Punta wedge. That style has been worn by Kendall Jenner and Sarah Paulson. It also includes a lowcut vamp but sports a pointed toe. The wedge is also sculpted for a beautiful shape.
There’s also the company’s Mostra ankle boot. The style is an ankle boot with a curved heel and. a substantial platform. Rita Ora wore the boot when she helped co-host Dick Cark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve this year. The heel measures six inches. Jessica Simpson also wore the white chunky boots last year.
Even prior, in 2023 the Mary Jane version of the Mostra featured this sole. Salma Hayek was seen in those, amongst other stars. It is unclear if the company will continue these styles. They were created under the direction of Matthieu Blazy who has since left the company for Chanel. The brand’s new creative director, Louise Trotter, has yet to show a collection.
