Ben Affleck Gets Artsy in Parra x Nike Dunk Low Sneakers

Ben Affleck opted to kick back in Parra x Nike Dunk Low SB “Abstract Art” sneakers while out and about running errands in Brentwood, Calif.
The colorful pair belongs to a collaborative line that commemorates the 2021 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, marking the sport of skateboarding’s official debut. Paying homage to this historic moment, Dutch artist Piet Parra adorned the low-top sneaker with off-white leather, embellished with abstract-print textile overlays in a captivating blend of blue, red, pink, and teal hues.
This striking design is mirrored on Nike SB’s Olympic Federation Kits. On the exterior, a truncated black leather Swoosh adorns the quarter panel, while a subtle white mini-Swoosh is embroidered on the lateral forefoot. Providing reliable grip underfoot, a durable tacky gum rubber outsole completes the look.

The actor loves a good pair of SB Dunks ,as seen in many of his sstreet-stylesnaps. Last Friday, we found Affleck laced up in a highly sought-after pair of “What the Dunk” Nike SB Dunk Lows while walking around Los Angeles. Earlier this year, he selected the same silhouette from the Nike x Parra collab but in a solid colorway. He coordinated both pairs with an oxblood-hued Brunello Cucinelli corduroy jacket. For today’s look, the vibrant jacket spotlighted the similar colors in his sneakers while he kept it casual in a pair of classic wash jeans and a textured, zip-up hoodie.
The Nike Dunk, initially released in 1985, has become one of the most popular and best-selling sneakers in recent years. Interestingly, Parra’s long-standing collaboration with Nike, which began in 2005 with the iconic ‘Amsterdam’ Air Max 1, took on a serendipitous turn when Parra began working with Nike SB.
The Dutch artist, deeply rooted in skateboarding culture, embarked on his skating journey around 1988. From the early 1990s to the beginning of the 2000s, he enjoyed sponsorship as an amateur skater, commonly known as “distro flow.” Following these formative and moderately competitive years, he shifted his focus to the realms of art and design, carrying with him the profound memories and influences from skateboarding’s golden era.
