Ayo Edebiri brought out a beloved pair of Gianvito Rossi sandals to attend the premiere of “Opus” in Los Angeles on Feb. 19. Alongside John Malcovich, Juliette Lewis and more, Edebiri stars in Mark Anthony Green’s feature directorial debut, an A24 horror/comedy set for a theatrical release on March 14.
The Golden Globe winner selected a slouchy sleeveless red gown from Proenza Schouler for the occasion, which took place at the Egyptian Theatre. The dress featured a loose top, an asymmetrical neckline and a flowy skirt with pointed edges along the hemline. She wore hair in loose waves for the occasion while glowy makeup including shimmering eyeshadow also complemented her look.
To accent her bold red dress, Edebiri put on a simple pair of black patent sandals: Gianvito Rossi’s Ribbon Stiletto style, a pair that’s proven reliable for the actress. The minimalist shoes feature a horizontal strap across the toes and a thinner ankle strap in back with a subtly glamorous gold-hued Ribbon buckle denoting the brand. The look elevated Edebiri in height with a stiletto heel. Crafted in Italy with calf leather, the shoes retail for $895 from the luxury brand.
The Ribbon Stiletto is a style Edebiri has worn before — she showcased the versatile silhouette at the 76th Primetime Emmy Awards in September, pairing the shoes with a custom dress from Bottega Veneta. She reached for a different Gianvito Rossi creation when she attended “SNL50: The Homecoming Concert” on Friday, Feb. 14, opting for the Gianvito pump in black, a quintessential style with a pointed toe.
“The Bear” star is starring in “Opus” as Ariel Ecton, a young writer who travels to the remote compound of a legendary pop star who mysteriously disappeared 30 years ago. Surrounded by a cult of sycophants and intoxicated journalists, she soon finds herself in the middle of his twisted plan. The movie is set to hit theaters on March 14, and also stars John Malkovich, Murray Bartlett, Juliette Lewis and more.
