Ashlee Simpson is a supporter of literacy. The”La La La” musician supported the launch of the new book “Hollywood Virgin” on Wednesday night. She turned up to The Abbey bar in West Hollywood, where the event was held, on the arm of her husband Evan Ross. For it, she wore an oversized off white duster jacket, off-the-shoulder top and trouser set from Deme by Gabriella.
While most of the look was monochromatic, Simpson chose to add a pop with her footwear. The singer wore a pair of animal print heels that peeked from beneath the legs of her oversized trousers. With. a pointed toe, the shoes appeared to be Piferi‘s Avangarda heel in a tiger-print.
Brown and black in color, the heel features. a sharply pointed toe. In addition, it contains a low-cut vamp. The tonal stitching disappears into the rest of the upper. While it’s not visible, the Avangarda includes a sculpted heel. It includes a concave sort of curve. The heel measures just over four inches.
The Piferi website is currently down and the company’s Instagram account hasn’t posted since September. A representative for the company has confirmed to Footwear News that Piferi has shuttered.
Some retailers still offer the tiger print Piferi Avangarda for $656.
Launched at Harrods in 2020 by Alfredo Piferi, the company creates vegan footwear. As such, the Avangarda is made of fabric. The molded, curved heel is a signature of the label. Within three years of launching, Piferi built up more than 5 million euros in sales. America and the Middle East were the company’s top markets with retailers like Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus and Galeries Lafayette Doha stocking the brand. In 2023, the company received a British Fashion Council Fashion Trust Grant.
Founder Alfredo Piferi has also done freelance footwear design for labels like The Attico.
