Angel Reese turned heads with a new blonde do and strappy sandals at the CFDA Awards red carpet on Monday night.
Currently enjoying a little rest and recuperation from a hectic WNBA season, the basketball star took to the red carpet in a pair of the black Metropolis strappy sandals from Gianvito Rossi that were constructed with patent leather material and emphasized by a singular, diagonal strap across the midfoot region. Rounding out the silhouette was a stiletto heel estimated to be in-between 4-to-5 inches in height, which is typical of the heels Reese wears both on and off the court. The pair were seemingly the footwear designer’s Metropolis Sandals, priced at $815.
As for her outfit, the athlete opted for an elegant dress and coat from Jonathan Simkhai. Accessorizing her ensemble with a silver necklace, she let her long newly-blonde locks fall in a middle part style.
Reese told FN at the CFDAs red carpet that this was her first time going as a blonde. She also confirmed that her signature Reebok shoe that’s coming in 2026 will be a custom sneaker and urged fans to “buy it to support Women’s Basketball.” Speaking of her upcoming signature shoe, it was announced last week Reebok and Reese have agreed to a multiyear contract extension for their partnership, which first began in October 2023. The second release, due out in 2026, will make Reese the second WNBA player to receive a signature shoe.
She discussed the deal on her Unapologetically Angel podcast.
“I’m extremely excited to let you guys know that we are officially coming out with a Reebok by Angel signature shoe,” she stated, adding, “We’ve already kicked off the design process, and it means the world to me to have Reebok’s full support and confidence with this shoe and overall partnership. A signature shoe has always been a dream of mine, and I want all the young girls out there to remember that anything is possible.”
