What if Adidas Made NBA-Inspired Yeezy Boosts?
There are a number of notable sneaker releases on the horizon, but the one that’s commanding the most attention on social media is the Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2. As the shoe’s Sept. 24 release date draws near, we’re learning more about the shoe’s intricate design and technology, and a new batch of concept colorway renderings from artist Patso Dimitrov shows just how versatile the Primeknit and Boost-powered silhouette really is.
After imagining collaborations between 2016’s best sneakers and music albums, Dimitrov is back at it with a batch of Yeezy Boost 350 V2 colorways inspired by the NBA’s 30 teams. Although these NBA-themed colorways aren’t the real thing — yet, at least — the renderings help illustrate some of the vast possibilities for the upcoming Yeezy sneaker.

Incorporating gum-colored soles and vibrant knits, Dimitrov experimented with the Yeezy Boost 350 V2’s sleek moccasin-like silhouette and striking “SPLY-350” branding to create colorways inspired by each of the NBA’s 30 teams.
Meanwhile, the actual Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 sneakers are priced at $220, with Adidas Confirmed app reservations opening Sept. 21 at 4 p.m. ET for the Sept. 24 launch. This shoe marks the third sneaker design from the Kanye West x Adidas Originals collaboration following the release of the Yeezy Boost 750 and Yeezy Boost 350 in 2015.
