Courrèges plans to celebrate the opening of its second store in the Marais district of Paris with an event on June 20 during Paris Fashion Week Men’s.

Photographer Mark Borthwick will sign exclusive prints of outtakes from the look books he shot for creative director Nicolas Di Felice’s spring 2025 men’s collection and women’s pre-collection, due to be presented that day at the nearby Espace Commines events venue.

After doubling revenues last year, Courrèges plans to open four directly operated stores this year, bringing its network up to 10 boutiques.

The Space Age brand is set to unveil its first U.S. West Coast location at the South Coast Plaza center in July. In addition, it plans to open a store at the Shinsegae Centum City department store in Busan, South Korea, and another at Printemps in Paris — both by the end of August.

The new Marais store, in the location of the former post office on Rue des Francs-Bourgeois, is designed by Belgian architect Bernard Dubois, who was also behind the refurbishment of the brand’s Rue François Premier flagship in Paris in 2020.

With its arched alcoves, white flooring, mirrored walls and club-inspired spotlights, the high-ceilinged Marais space is being touted as “both a satellite and an evolution” of the historic address, the brand said in a statement.

Di Felice loves a rave party, and the space is designed to celebrate the diverse community of the central Paris district, including “historical landmarks, art venues and queer underground,” Courrèges added.

“This reflects our increasing ambition for retail following the opening of our boutique in the Marais in 2021,” Courrèges chief executive officer Adrien Da Maia told WWD earlier this year.

“This store will carry fast-growing categories like accessories and men’s. It reflects the work we’ve been doing on the brand and will allow more people to experience the new Courrèges, because it’s a street with very high traffic and great visibility,” he added. The women’s collection will also be sold at the store.

With a surface of 2,500 square feet, the new boutique is five to six times bigger than the previous location in the Upper Marais, which will continue to host animations and temporary events this year but will eventually close, he said.

Buoyed by critically acclaimed collections, Courrèges is carried by leading retailers including Bergdorf Goodman and Maxfield in the U.S.; Dover Street Market in Japan and China; Galeries Lafayette and Le Bon Marché in France, and Harvey Nichols in the U.K. and Dubai.
