Footwear is getting down to the art and sole of it all with a myriad styles portraying the ongoing graffiti trend. Shoes featuring word prints, illustrations and other graffiti-inspired art were prominent on the streets at the latest edition of London Fashion Week Men’s, including slip-ons, sneakers and even custom kicks. A variety of women’s options have also sprung up, ranging from loafers to kitten-heel pumps to spiked stilettos.
Below, FN rounds up five of the best crafty shoes to shop the look now.
Australian brand Rollie Nation has partnered with James Goldcrown for its first-ever U.S. collaboration, and the duo conjured up an artful pair of leather loafers. The shoes are offered in black and white, with both versions featuring Goldcrown’s bleeding hearts design and side cutouts.
Burberry has invested in the graffiti trend heavily, offering everything from swimsuits and bags to shirts and shoes. Its graffiti-print slingback pumps are offered in yellow, blue and white.
MM6 Maison Margiela‘s graffiti-print boots are covered in a black-and-white illustrated design. Printed phrases include, “It’s Never Too Late” and “Everyday??”
Dolce & Gabbana was another heavy-hitter brand to incorporate graffiti patterns into its current range. Its white-based Love graffiti sneakers prominently display the phrase on the outsole, while a hot pink heel panel adds a pop of color.
This bootie from Miu Miu features white calf leather and a pointed-toe silhouette. The words “Miu Miu” are written in black cursive all over the boots, and the kitten heels are covered in dazzling silver glitter.
Christian Louboutin‘s “In Love” calfskin leather boots are avant-garde enough to make any woman fall for them. The 4-inch heels boast a spiked cap toe, a fuchsia stiletto heel and “Love” writ large in multicolored letters along the side.
