Givenchy RTW Fall 2016 Shoes

The mood: Marching Orders.
The front row: Kris Jenner, Kanye West, Chris Brown, Ciara, Lara Stone.
The shoes: With military themes throughout the collection, a prevalent trend this season, Riccardo Tisci sent out a tall boot brocade for fall. The slender suede styles either crawled up the thigh for a seamless finish or stopped at the knee.
Some were done in Python or flesh tones and had contrasting leather uppers in flashes or gold or even orange. Heels were gold conical metal with graphic pattern in-lay.
The verdict: Showstoppers? Despite those snazzy heels, not quite. But they certainly reinforced the movement towards footwear as quasi-constructed garments that fit and cover the leg and foot like clothing. Just add a coat of arms.
