Drake Gives Young Fan Autographed Air Jordans

As Drake enters the second half of his Summer Sixteen Tour (with co-headliner Future), the Toronto-born rapper blessed a young fan with an unforgettable gift during the tour’s stop in Houston on Sunday.

According to an Instagram post, Drake noticed @jackson.lane1 singing every word during the Toyota Center concert.

After taking notice of the young fan, the “Views” rapper invited him backstage to hang out and decided to send him home with a personalized parting gift.

Drake gave the Air Jordan 19 sneakers he wore during the Houston performance to the fan, and even took the time to scribble an autograph on the shoe’s patent leather toe box.

Thus far, Drake’s ongoing collaboration with Jordan Brand has produced two official releases: “October’s Very Own” colorways of the Air Jordan 10 in black and white.

The rapper’s personal Jordan stash includes a number of other exclusive “October’s Very Own” styles, however the Air Jordan 10 is the only pair that has been released to the public.

The Air Jordan 19 sneakers worn by Drake in Houston were last released alongside the Air Jordan 4 “Black/Cement” as part of 2008’s commemorative “Collezione,” aka “Countdown Pack” releases. Aside from that, the Air Jordan 19 was last seen during its original run in 2004 and has not yet received a retro release.
