The NBA announced today that Jamal Crawford of the Los Angeles Clippers is the league’s Sixth Man of the Year. To commemorate the achievement, Brandblack released a limited-edition colorway of the baller’s signature shoe, the J.Crossover 3.
The Brandblack J.Crossover 3 “Rare Metal” Bronze is in stores now with a $180 retail price. The shoe is available only at Shoe Palace’s location on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles and the retailer’s website, shoepalace.com.
According to a statement, Brandblack sought to create a colorway that was both flashy and timeless, which is representative of Crawford’s game. The inspiration behind the colorway, Brandblack said, was drawn from the material of the 2015-16 Kia NBA Sixth Man of the Year trophy. The shoe boasts a matte metallic bronze leather upper that sits atop a dark gray sole.
The J.Crossover 3 features the brand’s Force Vector technology for lateral stability and mid-foot support, a removable support shroud that wraps around the outside of the shoe, a fused thermoplastic urethane for aggressive cuts on the court, a light and strong ballistic nylon one-piece upper, and a 4mm high-density foam collar lining for ankle support.
Crawford is the oldest player to win the award and the only player to win it three times. During the regular season, he averaged 14.2 points, 2.3 assists and 1.8 rebounds for the Clippers.
