For most Yeezy fans, it would be nearly impossible to bring themselves to throw away a pair of Yeezy sneakers.
But after Taylor Swift’s brother Austin heard some of Kanye West’s lyrics in his song “Famous,” he not only threw his Yeezys away but posted a video of it.
In the song on West’s new album “T.L.O.P,” he sings, “For all my Southside n****s that know me best, I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex. Why? I made that b***h famous.”
After hearing this line, Swift proceeded to take a garbage can into his closet and dropped his Yeezy Boost 350s right into the trash. He captioned the video, “Getting a head start on some spring cleaning. Here we go again.”
According to some reports, Taylor’s boyfriend Calvin Harris commented on the video, writing, “LOOOOOOOOOOL.”
Some of Swift’s friends also came to her defense, including Gigi Hadid, who attended the show with sister Bella and sat with the Kardashian/Jenner family. She wrote, “My attendance somewhere does not mean I agree with everything being said in the music playing there. My friends know of my loyalty.”

Friend Jaime King also wrote, “I’m so sad right now & disappointed right now. I stand by my sister. Always.”

Ruby Rose also shared some thoughts:
And now my dear friend Taylor.. Right before another huge moment for her.. Can I still support him and call myself a feminist? A friend? No.

On Friday morning, West took to Twitter to clear the air saying that he “did not diss Taylor Swift” and that he “called Taylor and had a hour long convo with her about the line and she thought it was funny and gave her blessings.”

Prior to Thursday night, it seemed that Swift and West had cleared the air since the 2009 MTV VMAs debacle. West had apparently sent Swift flowers, and she was recently spotted wearing Yeezys. She hasn’t responded to this controversy yet, but the world is certainly waiting with baited breath on this one.
