Designer Olympia Le-Tan showed her fall ’16 collection at the Galerie Perrotin in Paris on Saturday, taking inspiration from the artwork in the space. Footwear was provided by Christian Louboutin, who also created pairs for designers during New York Fashion Week last month.
Louboutin’s Hotero 100 booties and Lord Cubano brogues completed the models’ looks. The lace-up booties were done in tweed, pink flannel and leather. Some pairs were even splattered with paint in a nod to Jackson Pollock.
Le-Tan’s collection also paid homage to other 20th-century artists, including David Hockney, Picasso and Takashi Murakami.
The Hotero 100 booties and Lord Cubano brogues are both styles that will be included in Louboutin’s fall ’16 offering. Louboutin also provided nail polish in two hues: Batignolles, a mustard yellow, and Mula Lisa, a bright turquoise blue.
Designer Bouchra Jarrar also worked with Louboutin on shoes this season, including a pair of luxe python hikers.
